Longest serving school principal In Nigeria, Rev. Fr. O’Connell dies at 85

Nigeria's longest serving principal,  Rev. Fr. Jeremiah Dermot O'Connell who returned to his home country,  Republic of Ireland after his long stay In Nigeria has passed on to glory in his own home country,  Ireland.


Rev. Fr. O'Connell died early hours of Wednesday, 14, March, 2018 at age 85years.

He was the longest serving school principal In Niger State and in Nigeria before he retired home last year.

He arrived Nigeria as a Missionary in 1967 and worked as a Catholic priest in Calabar,  before relocating to Niger State where he became the principal of The Government Secondary School Minna.

Rev. Fr. O'Connell was still teaching at 84years.
